Some words of wisdom to share with all

Psalms 37 verse 30:
The mouth of the righteous man utters wisdom, and his tongue speaks what is just.

Proverbs 21:23
He who guards his mouth and his tongue keeps himself from calamity.

Proverbs 18:21
The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit.

Proverbs 17:4
A wicked man listens to evil lips; a liar pays attention to a malicious tongue.

Proverbs 17:28
Even a fool is thought wise if he keeps silent, and discerning if he holds his tongue

Proverbs 15:2
The tongue of the wise commends knowledge, but the mouth of the fool gushes folly.

Proverbs 12:19
Truthful lips endure forever, but a lying tongue lasts only a moment.

Proverbs 12:18
Reckless words pierce like a sword, but the tongue of the wise brings healing.

Psalms 34:13
keep your tongue from evil and your lips from speaking lies.
14 Turn from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it.

Proverbs 10:19
When words are many, sin is not absent, but he who holds his tongue is wise.

Proverbs 11:12
A man who lacks judgment derides his neighbor, but a man of understanding holds his tongue.

I wonder how many people actually know the power of their tongue...we shall therefore watch our tongue, for every word that comes out from it should only edify and help build each other up, not destroy or sow discord. I guess in our everyday life, we have to be watchful of what we say, by the grace of God. I guess this is a lesson we all have to learn, even me.

Daddy, I want my tongue to only speak wisdom and to help encourage and build others up. I want to love them as You have loved me, I want to accept them as who they are. Let me be the one to share this love and acceptance with them.

Psalms 35:28
My tongue will speak of your righteousness and of your praises all day long.

Isaiah 50:4
The Sovereign Lord has given me an instructed tongue, to know the word that sustains the weary. He wakens me morning by morning, wakens my ear to listen like one being taught.

Isaiah 54:17
no weapon forged against you will prevail, and you will refute every tongue that accuses you. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and this is their vindication from me," declares the Lord.
