Rag 2006

Finally, it has come to an end, 3 gruelling months of sacrifice and hard work...at the end of the day you decide what is the most rewarding and important to you...the process of it all, or the results of it all. Results are important, that's what we're all fighting for every semester break, while other normal students go on with their holidays, with their own activities, we're in school, having the 'science raggers' re-union', doing something meanigful, coming back again to fight for what we believe in. However, thru the process precious frenships are made, frenships that will follow u thru life and thru the whole NUS. Sometimes people from outisde may not understand what fun they're missing out on, they may find it meaningless to do such stuff. On the way to the final day, even our own raggers may lose sight of the meaning of fighting...but on the day of rag itself, when u look down on the src track illuminated by the morning sun, you will know what I mean by finding meaning in rag. The beautiful and magnificant floats done by 9 faculties/schools, and 6 Halls stand in a line round the src track, waiting for their final glorious moment to present what they have worked so hard for the past 3 months, involving hundreds of people's sweat, blood, effort and time. You can see their passion burning in them, you can see your own people all uniting as one. Sometimes, you just can't believe that you have actually created these beautiful costumes and floats with our own hands. Yeah we raggers are just super talented and capable yeah? haha...and we're the fun people! haha...all the 'old raggers' will agree...that's why we keep coming back year after year, even those who graduated would come to help out after their work. 4th year of rag for me already, even more so for others, and I agree its hard not to involve myself in rag, because I do still feel a lot for it. For sure the rag spirit in all of us will never die. Thankyou to all who came back to support science rag year after year. Your presence sure made a difference to all of us. Thankyou to all raggers who fought and made science fac proud and united year after year. It takes guts to involve in rag n flag, so cheers to all!

Forever science...From my faculty walks out a winning rag and flag team! Huat Ah! Always united, forever winners.
